With time Farid had become more silent. He hardly used to speak, although not to say earlier, he used to speak a lot , but yes he has started speaking only when it was necessary
Now his silence was getting attention and his Ammi used to ask why he is so silent. Farid just used to smile and say he was hardly silent, probably a denial which appeared as natural to utter
The night in which Farid had heard whispers into his ears had its imprint on Farid. He could not forget it. He tried to forget but could not forget. At some moment or the other the same thoughts visited him. "Farid, come back to us, come back to us"; at times Farid of no consciousness used to place his hands on his ears, testing if he is able to hear any voice. But alas none
Farid meanwhile continued with his habit of going for a walk, right after dinner with his family. The daily ritual had stayed with him. Each day, Farid used to wear his slippers and go into the nights, walking around the compound of his house. At times he used to halt near the Dargah, checking if they tell something to him.
It was almost 8 months since Farid had encountered the night when he was whispered into his ears. By now Farid had convinced himself he just had an illusion and it wasn't else when he had heard the whispers. He started believing it. But yes, he hasn't forgotten the nights
Then it was Ramzan and Farid always used to have a late dinner, against all the advice of his Ammi. He believed he needed food to hold in his stomach if he has to keep a fast on the next day. It must have been around midnight that Farid was walking in his compound. Suddenly Farid felt a strong chilling wind and for once Farid felt what was that. He stopped and started looking around. All he could notice was mosquitoes around his head; in thousands and lakhs, all roaming above his head.
Farid stopped and just stood still. Suddenly he was shocked. He saw light on his nails. Oh he was shocked. His nails had become lit like a led and he could see messages on his nails. Farid kept his composure and tried reading. Again the same message, "come back Farid come back Farid"
Farid moved for a minute and again stopped waiting if he gets a new message on his nails. Then suddenly he saw a dark crow coming from nowhere. Farid was confused, He remembered his Dadis advice to pray ayatalkursi each time you saw a dark crow . He did not even notice it and he was praying Ayatalkursi. Suddenly he saw the dark crow moving up and sitting on the Jamun tree.
The crow was looking at Farid or maybe Farid could not decide if he was looking at the dark crow. Soon he saw the crow saying some words. Farid was shocked how he could understand the voice of the crow. But yes he could understand it.
Farid placed his entire attention attempting to listen to what the crow says. It was a human voice and it was hardly a crow's voice. Farid, I have a story for you and you must listen. It is your story and make no mistakes we tell each a story.
Sit down Farid, you have nothing to fear. Farid you are actually me and to be more accurate my own part. I am not a magician but I create illusions. And this is my role in the universe. I take shapes and help in the existence of the nature. I am not and I was not physical. I am an illusion.
And then there was a sudden silence. Farid could not see when the crow vanished. He looked again at the tree, he could just notice the tree and it's leaves. After a few minutes Farid again got up and started walking again. There was no voice, no whispers and no crow. Farid by now had reached his home.

Whispers of the dark night, Part 1
It was dark and one may say it was a relatively darker night than the previous ones in the month. One could hardly see anything unless one looks at the sky. The sky was visible although dark. There were few star but that was it
It was a large compound that Farid lived in; his house next to the Dargah. Farid had taken his dinner and as per his habit was taking a round of his compound.
Farid was walking slowly and was looking more at the sky than the earth beneath him. He could hear the silence of the sky. There were no birds or dogs to disturb him and he could feel the sound of silence.
It was fairly cold and as his Ammi always used to chide him for not covering his ears, Farid felt cold in the ears. He placed his hand on his ears.
And suddenly he heard a sound. Someone was whispering, there was some voice. He looked back and there was none. He was scared and at the same time he was acting composed.
He had heard stories of how the Dead from the Dargah had protected his family during the many calamities like earthquake and riots. It struck him of the people from Dargah are attempting to tell something.
He started walking briskly and trying to rush back to his house. And suddenly he saw a light. He has never seen it before. It was a flash and before he could move it had gone.
He was too scared so he sat down on the sand. He was sitting right on the sand and started looking at the sky. What was that.
And then he heard the voice again. His ears could now hear it properly. Someone was telling him. Come back Farid come back Farid.
By now Farid had regained his composure. He started listening. He was being asked to comeback .. Come back Farid, come back Farid. No other words.
However in few minutes Farid no more felt the voice. The whispers were silent. Farid then got up and started rushing to his house. While moving to his house Farid decided he won't tell anyone of his experience . He was scared he would not be able to explain the events and others may take it for he becoming possessed
The next day Farid was too scared and decided not to go walking in his compound.
However the day after curiosity got the better of him and Farid again went for his walk. It was again a dark night and one could hardly see anything.
He was walking and he had crossed the Dargah, Suddenly felt a touch. Someone was patting on his back. He looked back and there was none. He realised he is back for an experience similar to what he had a couple of days back
By now Farid was comfortable. So he again looked back but again did not find anyone. He decided to wait if he sees anyone. As he was looking at the earth and at times the sky again a voice whispered into his ears..
Farid placed his entire attention. The voice was clear although from a far distance . Farid you don't belong to this world, come to us. Farid, come to us. This is not your real existence.
It was getting clearer. Farid placed his hands near his ears. He wanted to hear each word. Farid, you were not born on this earth, you belong to us. Come back to us.
Farid, you don't exist, you are just a set of garments placed over a body we had sent to earth for some moments. Come back to us.. There is nothing you have which is you. We have just placed an illusion before you. You are not a body, you are not a living being, you are just a moment.
Farid was still walking and soon he saw the gate of his house. He could see the blue color of the gate. He sensed the lights of his house. Suddenly he realised there was no voice and nor were there any whispers . He could hear the sound of the insects whch were roaming near the lights of his house. He then went inside his house. The whispers had stopped and it was back to being a normal night

Aap mujhe alfaazon me dhoondte ho
Rasta kya badle naam talak yaad nai, kahte ho mai to soona hoon aur tum toh ho hi nahi
Darta hoon yaadon se, yeh kaisi bechaini hai.. Gumnaam hi rahne do, mujhe bhoolne do
Kal jab aayega toh kahna mai tha hi nahi, unsiyat agar aaye toh taahedil rakhna, alfaaz kutch saste se lagte hain
Apne toh woh sirf aansoo hain, sambhalo use, us ke alawa kutch such nahi.
Rona achcha lagta hai, sukoon ka aur koi ihsaas nahi. Sub cheen lo bus yeh ashq mere apne hone do
Woh chehre ki shikan toh dekho, naa jaane kitne shikwe hai is main. Aap mujhe alfaazon me dhoondte ho

Independence day speech 2011
Dear friends
2 days from now we will be celebrating our independence day. It's an opportunity to celebrate the birth of our nation and to also express our gratitude to the millions of people who sacrificed either in lives or in kind so that we could get our freedom; freedom to live the way we wanted ;the freedom to live our choices
65 years we have come a long way. Sure we have many struggles which are unique to the Indian nation but at the same time, world is a witness to the fact that if there was ever a better time to be an Indian it is now .
In our own lifetime we have never seen the promise that we are witnessing today. A promise of a better future.; the promise of better living standards for our people.
And its not only about progress its also about celebrating many uniquenesses of our great nation . Our culture is an amalgamation of various religions castes, creeds and languages . Our existence and unity is a proud moment . Not many nations so young have been able to manage such diversity along with progress that we have made as a nation
65 years have been a tribute to the unity of our nation. A tribute to How people of various types have contributed to the making of our great nation.
Together we have succeeded.
Together we will have to fight the many challenges which will come our way.
Lastly I will end up with a question Nehru raised on the 1st day of our independence . Are we brave enough and wise enough to grasp this opportunity and accept the challenge of the future
Today standing here as an ordinary citizen of the great Indian nation I can proudly say, yes we are brave : yes we are wise and there has never been a better time than now.
Thanks with all the positivism
Jai Hind

Farid and the jinn
Farid, the jinn and his story
this night was a bit different than the one in the past. In the stillness of the night, Farid felt a strange unease. He felt strange vibrations as if thoughts were going besides him and somehow they wanted to tell something to him. Since these were making him anxious, he felt somehing wrong was to happen. He thought of the earthquakes and the dogs who used to cry. He knew animals could predict events and more so if the events were catastrophic in nature. He felt maybe it was for something he shared with the animals that he was coming across some strange vibratioms. Like the animals, Farid too wanted to cry, but then he did not. He couldnot get the audacity of an animal and thus kept quite.
Soon it was time for sunrise and Farid felt asleep.
This was becoming a daily routine with Farid and his nights were all about his mind wandering from one thought to another. He could realise, it was not he who controlled his mind in the night. One day, Farid decided to share his plight with his mother. His mother on hearing it, was frightened and asked him not to sleep in his room and asked him to share the room with his younger brother Zaki. She was afraid some jinn has taken over Farid and he was possesed by him. Although she did not tell this to Farid, he realised his mother was thinking on those lines
Sleeping in Zaki's room hardly brought any respite to young Farid. He continued to remain awake and only difference over the past was Farid's irritation on why Zaki was able to sleep so early, while Farid could not. Farid's nights were spent largely alone, in a sense, he did not have anyone to speak to but himself.
One day,it was another usual night and Zaki had already slept and Farid saw a mouse jumping by his bed. For some reason Farid felt, the mouse wanted to tell something to him. He jumped after the mouse but it ran away and it made Farid virtually crestfallen. He felt as if his message was lost. Morning, he narrated the incident to his mother, who was frightened by the incident and realised her folly of not yet taking Farid to any Maulvi. His mother in her mind decicded, it was enough and she did not wish to lose her son to any jinn and it was high time to take Farid to a Maulvi.
After a couple of days Farid was called to join his uncle Anwar and mother on a journey to the nearby village of Barari. Barari was famous for its Baalooshahis and cure for those who suffered from possession by jinns and bhoots. Farid was very inquisitive on why he was being taken to Barari, but then in tune with his quite nature, did not ask anything and silently joined in. Wearing a white kurta, payjama and topi, Farid looked everybit of the madarsa boy his mother had always seen him as. Soon they were at Barari and were outside a small hut, which had few people standing outside. His uncle whispered something to his mother and soon the 3 entered inside the hut. Maulvi sahab was inside the hut and sitting on a small charpoy, which did not have any bedsheet on it. He was sitting silently on the charpoy and indicated his 3visitors in Farid, his mother and uncle to sit besides him.
Maulvi sahab had a look at the boy's forehead and asked his umcle, how long he has been like that, to which Farid's mother affirmed, right since he was born, something was not right about the boy. Maulvi sahab listened patiantly to each word of Farid's mom and gave her a bottle of water and advised her to offer a teaspoom of water to Farid every morning. His mother sounded worried and asked why Farid is like that, to which maulvi sahab replied,he will check and find out who is possessing Farid and will ask the jinn to leave him.
The same day Farid and the rest came back to the village. From the course of the journey to reaching his house Farid has not uttered a word and was just passive to everything around him. Farid's mother did try to make eye contavt with him, so as to humour him, but Farid was hardly interested and looked elsewhere. His mother was more worried, if Farid has gone into another level of insanehod and she was silently praying to Allah that his son becomes normal.
A few days later, Farid's mother came to him and gave the staple of the water, the Maulvi sahab had given to her. Suddenly she saw Farid crying and was in a very frightened state. His mother worried gently took Farid in her arms and tried to pacify him. However this was a different moment and Farid soon started shivering. His mother soon called others and with the help of a few people Farid was finally controlled. Soon after farid appeared completely normal and did not appear to be the shivering self, he was till a few moments ago. His mother then tried to talk to him and asked how he is feeling. Farid first was silent and then started speaking. His first word and Farid's mother was frightened. The voice was not of Farid and was of some old man.
Farid started saying why she is being given the water, which Maupvi sahab had given and he did not appreciate that. Farid also threatened to go destructive if he was everboffered that water again. However soon Farid's uncle Anwar also joined in and after seeing him Faridnbecame quite. What made him quite was beyond comprehension to Farid's mother, but she still was too happy to welcome it. Again she put herbhands on Farid's head and said, fine, whe will not give the water again. Farid by now had become normal and was becoming suspiscious why so much of fuss was around him. Soon after he himself took the bottle and drank afew teaspoons from that.
